Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (remote)

Northwind Birch Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Richmond, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Prepare and label specimens. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
