Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (remote)

Cedar Union Care Services provides in-home and community support in Austin, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. You would join a small organisation of about 50 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
