Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (remote)

Fernwood Harbor Care Services is looking for a Medical Assistant. The job centres on lab and specimen handling for client records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 86 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
