Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (remote)

Westbrook Cedar Care Services supports families and individuals in Charleston with personal care and coordination, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
