Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Raleigh, NC)

Fernwood Birch Care Services provides in-home and community support in Raleigh. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on lab and specimen handling. You would join a small organisation of about 38 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
