Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Rowan Health and adding a Medical Assistant whose main responsibility will be lab and specimen handling. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
