Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (New Orleans, LA)

Foxglove Basin Health Group provides primary and specialty care in New Orleans, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. You would join a large organisation of about 576 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
