Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Knoxville, TN)

Rivermark Cross Health runs clinics and patient services around Knoxville. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on lab and specimen handling. You would join a large organisation of about 379 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
