Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Jackson, MS)

We are growing our team at Lumen Quill Care Services and adding a Medical Assistant whose main responsibility will be lab and specimen handling. You would join a large organisation of about 629 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Prepare and label specimens. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
