Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Indianapolis, IN)

Ironwood Birch Care Services Group is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Indianapolis, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
