Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Indianapolis, IN)

Northwind Sparrow Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Indianapolis, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. We train and promote from within. What you will do • Prepare and label specimens. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
