Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Grand Rapids, MI)

Amberfield Ashton Care Services is looking for a Medical Assistant. The job centres on lab and specimen handling for care plans, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
