Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Des Moines, IA)

Northwind Wren Care Services provides in-home and community support in Des Moines. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on lab and specimen handling. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
