Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Des Moines, IA)

Redstone Cross Health provides primary and specialty care in Des Moines, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. You would join a large organisation of about 357 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Prepare and label specimens. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
