Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Columbus, OH)

Northwind West Care Services is looking for a Medical Assistant. The job centres on lab and specimen handling for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
