Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Buffalo, NY)

Rivermark Cross Health is looking for a Medical Assistant. The job centres on lab and specimen handling for patient education, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Prepare and label specimens. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
