Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Baltimore, MD)

Ironwood Cross Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Baltimore. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on lab and specimen handling. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
