Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Albuquerque, NM)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Ashton Health Group and adding a Medical Assistant whose main responsibility will be lab and specimen handling. You would join a large organisation of about 492 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Albuquerque. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
