Medical Assistant - clinic support (remote)

Lumen Meridian Care Services provides in-home and community support in New Orleans. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on clinic support. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
