Maintenance Technician - preventive maintenance (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Rook Water Authority and adding a Maintenance Technician whose main responsibility will be preventive maintenance. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for capital projects in order. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. What we are looking for • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
