Maintenance Technician - preventive maintenance (remote)

Fernwood Manufacturing Group is a Columbus manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on preventive maintenance. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Keep tools and parts for machine downtime in order. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. What we are looking for • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with machine downtime. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
