Maintenance Technician - preventive maintenance (remote)

Fernwood Mill Energy is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The job centres on preventive maintenance for meter readings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Keep tools and parts for meter readings in order. What we are looking for • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
