Maintenance Technician - preventive maintenance (remote)

Northwind Birch Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Charleston, and we need a Maintenance Technician to lead our preventive maintenance. We reward reliability. What you will do • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for dock schedules in order. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. What we are looking for • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
