Maintenance Technician - preventive maintenance (Detroit, MI)

Summit Field Water Authority is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The job centres on preventive maintenance for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for pipe repairs in order. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
