Maintenance Technician - preventive maintenance (Detroit, MI)

Summit Granite Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Detroit and nearby communities. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on preventive maintenance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for meter reading in order. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
