Maintenance Technician - preventive maintenance (Des Moines, IA)

Cedar Quarry Environmental Services Associates collects and processes waste and recycling around Des Moines, and we need a Maintenance Technician to lead our preventive maintenance. You would join a small organisation of about 171 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Keep tools and parts for collection routes in order. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. What we are looking for • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
