Maintenance Technician - preventive maintenance (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Ember Manufacturing and adding a Maintenance Technician whose main responsibility will be preventive maintenance. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for tooling in order. What we are looking for • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
