Maintenance Technician - preventive maintenance (Charleston, SC)

Rivermark Beacon Press produces print and digital publications in Charleston. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on preventive maintenance. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Keep tools and parts for paper stock in order. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. What we are looking for • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with paper stock. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
