Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Virginia Beach, VA)

Lumen Thistle Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Virginia Beach and nearby communities. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on on-call response. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Keep tools and parts for treatment plant data in order. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
