Maintenance Technician - on-call response (San Jose, CA)

Nova Mill Freight is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The job centres on on-call response for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 38 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for loads and lanes in order. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
