Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Richmond, VA)

Northwind Forge Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Richmond. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on on-call response. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Keep tools and parts for landfill records in order. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
