Maintenance Technician - on-call response (remote)

Foxglove Glen Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Chicago, and we need a Maintenance Technician to lead our on-call response. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Keep tools and parts for carrier rates in order. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
