Maintenance Technician - on-call response (remote)

Cedar West Facilities is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The job centres on on-call response for safety inspections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Bilingual teams are common. What you will do • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Keep tools and parts for safety inspections in order. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. What we are looking for • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
