Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Providence, RI)

Highbridge Umber Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Providence. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on on-call response. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for carrier rates in order. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
