Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Oakland, CA)

Lumen Granite Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Oakland and nearby communities, and we need a Maintenance Technician to lead our on-call response. You would join a large organisation of about 855 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Keep tools and parts for treatment plant data in order. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
