Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Grand Rapids, MI)

Summit Clear Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on on-call response. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Keep tools and parts for proof of delivery in order. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. What we are looking for • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
