Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Detroit, MI)

Ironwood Umber Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Detroit. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on on-call response. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Keep tools and parts for work orders in order. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. What we are looking for • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
