Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Chicago, IL)

Northwind Ember Housing manages affordable housing communities across Chicago, and we need a Maintenance Technician to lead our on-call response. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Keep tools and parts for resident services in order. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with resident services. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
