Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Charlotte, NC)

Northwind Wilder Housing manages affordable housing communities across Charlotte. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on on-call response. You would join a large organisation of about 869 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for waiting lists in order. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. What we are looking for • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with waiting lists. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
