Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Charleston, SC)

Fernwood River Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Charleston area, and we need a Maintenance Technician to lead our on-call response. You would join a small organisation of about 193 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Keep tools and parts for meter reading in order. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. What we are looking for • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
