Maintenance Technician - equipment repair (Detroit, MI)

Fernwood Kestrel Press is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The job centres on equipment repair for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Keep tools and parts for customer orders in order. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
