Maintenance Technician - equipment repair (Birmingham, AL)

Redstone Umber Foods is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The job centres on equipment repair for customer specifications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for customer specifications in order. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • Trade certification or licence. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
