Maintenance Technician - building systems (Detroit, MI)

Stonegate Junction Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Detroit and nearby communities. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to take on building systems. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Keep tools and parts for capital projects in order. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. What we are looking for • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
