Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Oak Inspection Services and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be dispatch and scheduling. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for test reports. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
