Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Virginia Beach, VA)

Westbrook Maple Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Virginia Beach, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for project schedules. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with project schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
