Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (San Diego, CA)

Foxglove Ember Press Group prints books, catalogues and packaging from its San Diego plant. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on dispatch and scheduling. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for proofing. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with proofing. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
