Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (San Diego, CA)

Fernwood Iron Auto Group is a San Diego company supplying vehicle parts and service, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. You would join a large organisation of about 939 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for parts orders. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with parts orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
