Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Sacramento, CA)

Northwind West Freight Associates is a Sacramento logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for dock schedules. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
