Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Richmond, VA)

Northwind Forge Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Richmond with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for collection routes. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
