Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (remote)

Cedar Beacon Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Boston plant, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. You would join a small organisation of about 199 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for customer orders. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
